Coat of arms

The coat of arms is the heraldic mark of the family.

The coat of arms contains the following description of the family coat of arms:

" A blue shield with a bent red arm holding a yellow bow and arrow in the middle of the arm a gilded star. On top of the shield an open helmet (bridle helmet). The wreath and helmet cover in alternating yellow, blue and red. On top of the helmet a Persian bundle (turban) and on top of the bundle an upright red arrow "

The number of points on the star is not stated in the shield letter, but the shields below all have a six-pointed star.

The left coat of arms is taken from the Swedish Nobility Calendar 2004.

The middle shield is the copper one that is in the Knights' Hall in the Knights' House and which, according to the Knights' House, is "from the time", that is, the 1650s. Here the name von Krusenstierna is spelled.

The right-hand coat of arms appears more commonly in genealogies of Wrangel and Elgenstierna, among others, but its origin has not yet been determined. This shield is used, among others, by the Estonian branch living in Germany, the USA and Canada.

Seal of arms

Seal of arms are personal and are therefore also given a personal design. In the family archive in Kalmar County Museum there is a collection of seal of arms that contains around 90 different variations of the seal of arms. However, two main variations of the coat of arms design can be distinguished:

  • a pure coat of arms without a helmet, helmet cover, turban or arrow, crowned with the noble crown.

  • a complete coat of arms with helmet, helmet cover, turban and arrow.
